BCS Global Ambassadors are educators who share knowledge, empower young people, and engage the wider community in meaningful action, championing water stewardship and encouraging others to become water defenders.

WHAT AMBASSADORS DO

Our global ambassadors are leaders and role models within our growing global network of schools and change makers, promoting water learning in classrooms, inspiring action, and helping more schools and communities get involved.

Share practical actions

Classroom activities and school-wide steps that protect water and reduce waste.

Mentor & encourage

Support other schools as they work toward becoming a Blue Community School.

We publish a short profile (name + brief note, and optionally a photo) on this page and may share highlights through Blue Community Schools communications.

Cynthia Gilmore

We are proud to recognize Cynthia, a passionate educator in Ontario, for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the Blue Community Schools (BCS) movement. Cynthia led the way in guiding Montague Public School in Smiths Falls to become a certified Blue Community School and continues to inspire and support educators at other schools as they work toward certification.

A strong champion of World Water Day (March 22), Cynthia uses this global moment to engage students, spark meaningful conversations, and mobilize school communities around water protection. Her enthusiasm, generosity in sharing resources, and dedication to empowering others embody the spirit of the BCS movement—and we are grateful for the ripple effect she is creating across Ontario schools.
