The Government of Canada has set up the Canada Water Agency whose mandate is to protect freshwater across provincial and transnational boundaries and integrate freshwater management across jurisdictions in Canada. It will provide expertise to the government on coordination, policy and funding decisions around freshwater.
It is imperative that Canadians monitor the actions and advice of the Agency as the task it has been given is a huge one indeed.
