Schools uncover buried stream, transforms its schoolyard

This is a wonderful story about how a hidden river was discovered under a Toronto school and restored – or “day-lighted.” Students of different ages took part in this project and now enjoy the re-naturalized playground. Because students watched as engineers and landscape architects brought the river back to life, they learned over months about the importance of protecting biodiversity and natural river flows.
